All design starts with a compelling thought.

In this case, it came from the thought “Think Design Think”, a theme conceived and collaborated on by J. Walter Thompson Philippines and Plus 63 Design.

This theme was inspired from the day-to-day world of designers, where they work everyday in the perpetual process of thinking and designing.

The challenge was to capture the essence of this theme on a static application like a poster as well as of course motion graphic applications. So we kept the design solution simple, and we created a typographic solution which expressed movement, perpetuity, discipline and subtle playfulness.

Keeping the theme (ThinkDesignThink) joined together in one unit and conveying movement on both ends of this unit, we express the process of “Think Design Think”.

As we apply these to our various applications, we expand this graphic solution to even more perpetual and playful movement.

ANOTHER CHANCE TO MAKE AN IMPACT

Dave Ferrer allowed me to create an identity that captures the design process. We’re just having fun and I was really surprised that this project was in collaboration with Dan Matutina, the creative head of Plus63.

Good thing Jan Aldrin, my favorite editor, is willing to help us! He really made this project come to life. Thank you also, Eugene Sucayan for helping us connect with Hit Productions to create this fantastic original music. Zach Lim, my copywriter is also a willing victim. Haha!

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

One of the industry's biggest and most-anticipated series of events initiated by adobo magazine, the #adoboDesignWeek commenced on May 6-12 2019. With Dentsu Team B's adobo Masterclass, #adoboDesignConference, #adobo100DesignExhibit, and the tenth adobo Design Awards being a huge success, it's all thanks to those who participated, the jury members, and speakers from all over the world.

Thanks to the team of Angel Guerrero for bringing this to life on the actual stage! WOOOOOOOT!
