CLAIM IT WHILE IT’S HOT

When we want something good and we believe that we deserve it, we claim it. The team created this work for McDonald’s App Philippines. The clients really loved how big the visual is. Very crave-worthy.

The brief is to come up with a visual that represents the app. The McDonald’s App contains discounts, vouchers, and day-to-day updates. This separates the app’s identity from other apps of McDonald’s.

We created a simple icon that can house the price point and discount, and also “slashing“ the whole visual, like the price bubble.

It wasn’t easy to get this approved but thanks to the hard work of the team. From strategy to account management to traffic, to creatives, to tech. It was all a collaborative effort for this thing to be released in the real world, for everyone to see.

I also learned a lot as an art director, because the clients discovered that the discounts as a percentage are as exciting as the actual product. That’s why it’s important to listen to them. It’s for their business.

As of today, the app is dressed up for the global partnership with BTS. But the icon we created remains the same.
